Category

Categories are used to define content in the ACTV8me Dashboard.

Overview

Categories focus a campaign to those users most likely to be interested in the products or services being offered, increasing the effectiveness of the campaign.

Categories organize content into vertical lists that can be searched for or grouped together.

Categories can also be used to help describe content.

Category Functions

Create Category

  1. Click on the menu in the upper right corner

  2. Click on Settings

  3. Click on Categories

  4. Click Add Category

  5. Enter the name of the category

  6. Enter a description of, or notes about the category

  7. Choose whether it is a Custom or Core category and check the appropriate circle

CustomCustom categories are client based and can be created, modified and deleted by the client who owns them
CoreCore categories are system wide. They are available for all clients
  1. Click Parent Id and scroll to your selection

Parent Id is the original piece of content from which the category was made

  1. Click Create

  2. The category will now appear at the top of the list in the category tab

Edit Category

  1. Click on the menu in the upper right corner

  2. Click on Settings

  3. Click Categories

  4. Click on the category that you would like to edit

  5. Make desired changes to category

  6. Click Update

Delete Category

  1. Click on the menu in the upper right corner

  2. Click on Settings

  3. Click Categories

  4. Find the category that you would like to delete

  5. Click on the three blue dots to the very right of the category and click delete.
