Trigger

Triggers initiate the delivery of pre-configured content from the ACTV8me backend:

QR Code

A QR Code trigger allows an end-user to receive content after scanning the code from a display (i.e. a screen placed in the lobby of a building or mounted on a wall of an elevator, or a poster placed in a strategic location within a grocery store).

Hyperlink

A Hyperlink trigger allows an end-user to receive content after clicking or tapping on a URL that has been received via email, text, or any other hypertext transferring medium.

Media

A Media trigger delivers content during programs and commercials.

Audio

An Audio Watermark is a type of trigger that uses a unique code embedded within a piece of audio content (this code is undetectable to the ear). This allows for the delivery of specific content upon trigger detection by the ACTV8me SDK.

An Audio Fingerprint is activated by the audio without embedding a code into a specific file. Therefore, a fingerprint can be activated by any copy of the audio as long as it is identical to the original. For example, a commercial or song can be fingerprinted in one place and activated in another without any exchange of files (again, this code is undetectable to the ear).

Geofence

A Geofence trigger allows an end-user to receive content after entering a physical location that has been previously "fenced" by an admin user. Examples of locations are retail stores, museums, venues, landmarks, etc.

Touch

A Touch trigger allows an end-user to receive content after pressing a button on a screen (i.e. mobile device, touchscreen, etc).

Beacon

A Touch trigger allows an end-user to receive content after a radio signal from a Bluetooth transmitter (beacon) is detected.
